‘Little House on the Prairie’ Star Melissa Gilbert’s New Role
Melissa Gilbert is gearing up for her role in a new play, “When Harry Met Rehab.” Previews begin tomorrow, November 24th at the Greenhouse Theater Center in Chicago. It is a comedy meant to honor recovering addicts in this country and is “based loosely” on the experiences of sports radio host Harry Teinowitz. Melissa Gilbert performs alongside costars Dan Butler and Chiké Johnson, among others.
“When Harry Met Rehab chronicles in a humorous yet poignant way how Harry, an alcoholic on the edge of clueless annihilation, ended up in the hands of four imperfect strangers who caught him every time he stumbled and made his denial and excuses disappear,” the show description reads. “When Harry Met Rehab is a story of redemption, perseverance, and hope.”
This is a must-see new work for Chicagoans. Who knows? Perhaps the play could make its Broadway debut in the near future. The show runs until January 30, 2022. Purchase tickets to the show now here.
