Lori Loughlin will serve her prison sentence in a luxury prison. Shortly after the news broke, social media swiftly came down on the judge’s decision.
What the Prison Entails
The former Fuller House star will serve a two-month sentence. According to Us Weekly, she plans to serve her time in a federal correctional institution in Victorville, California later this year. It is a medium-security prison. Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton signed off on Loughlin’s request to serve her time there. She needs to surrender by November 19.
The prison seems to be more like a summer camp with countless classes. According to the FCC Victorville prison’s handbook, inmates with good behavior can also take part in athletic courses. Furthermore, they offer pilates, yoga, cross-training, spinning, and step aerobics.
Crafting courses are also an option: crochet, beading, painting, ceramics, and origami. Education is another aspect of the prison with courses in guitar theory, songwriting, nutrition, calisthenics, etc.
Social Media Reactions
Since the reports surfaced, all of the responses to her prison news were negative. Many on social media soon pointed out that her prison time is more like a company retreat or summer camp. Moreover, others suggested that her choice of prisons is white privilege.
