Texas billionaire Mark Cuban and Texas Senator Ted Cruz are jawing back and forth on Twitter again.
This exchange between the two high-profile Texans began with a tweet from New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard J.J. Reddick. The NBA player tweeted “I really dislike Ted Cruz and I hope he continues to search for his name on Twitter and sees this. That’s the tweet.”
Shortly after, Stan Van Gundy, NBA analyst for TNT and NBA TV, agreed with Reddick. Van Gundy even took his tweet a step further saying “I’ll go one further — I would probably dislike most people who like Ted Cruz.” Van Gundy is also the former NBA Head Coach for the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic and Miami Heat.
That’s when Cruz responded. “Hateful, rich liberals. Who look down on much of America,” the senator said. “Apparently, they agree w/ Hillary that anyone who doesn’t comply w/ hard-Left views are ‘deplorables.’ I disagree with their politics, but also refuse to treat them with the hate & contempt they direct at the rest of us.”
Meanwhile, Cuban jumped in to slam Cruz for being “a hypocrite and typical politician.”
“So…. calling people ‘hateful’ and saying they ‘look down on people’ is not treating them with ‘hate and contempt?’ Why are you like this Ted? I don’t think you are hateful. Maybe hypocritical and a Typical Politician, but that’s my feeling specific to you. I wont generalize.”
Mark Cuban Bashed Ted Cruz Earlier This Month
Cuban and Cruz have went back and forth via Twitter over the NBA’s drop in ratings this year. Earlier this month, Cruz tweeted out a link pointing out the poor ratings saying “Not surprising. Personally speaking, this is the first time in years that I haven’t watched a single game in the NBA Finals. #GoWokeGoBroke“
Cuban was quick to criticize Cruz then, too.
“A US Senator with 3 @NBA teams in his state, employing thousands of people and he is rooting for their businesses to do poorly. This is who you are @tedcruz. Every minute of your life, this is exactly who you are.”
