Over the weekend, Blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus took to his Twitter account to reveal a new update about his cancer treatments.

Mark Hoppus then states that he is blessed with incredible doctors, as well as family and friends to get him through this situation. Although he has months of treatment ahead of him, Hoppus is trying to remind hopeful and positive. “Can’t wait to be cancer-free and see you all at a concert in the near future,” Mark writes in the announcement to fans.
In a new Twitter post, Mark Hoppus first apologizes for oversharing, but cancer treatment has become “so surreal.” “To think this week I’ll take a test that may very well determine if I live or die,” Mark writes. He also gives a shout-out to his supporters for all their replies and that it means the world to him that they are thinking of him.
“I’m going to beat [cancer] through chemotherapy or through bone marrow transplants, but either way, I am determined to kick cancer’s ass directly in the nuts,” Mark Hoppus declares. The musician then shares a pick that shows an image of a tumor.
Blink-182 Bandmates & Carson Daly Supports Mark Hoppus’ Fight Against Cancer
Following Mark Hoppus’ initial announcement about his cancer diagnosis, Travis Barker, a bandmate of Blink-182, also sends love and support for Mark. Barker reveals in a statement to E! News, “Mark is my brother and I love and support him.”
Travis then says that he will be with Mark every step of the way on stage and off. “Can’t wait for us to play together again,” Barker declares.
Other Blink-182 bandmate, Tom DeLonge, also addresses Mark’s cancer fight by stating on Twitter, “I too, have been aware of Mark’s cancer diagnosis for a while now.” He then says that he would also like to say that Mark is strong and a “super-human” who is pushing through the difficult obstacle with a wide-open heart. He uses the hashtag #WeHaveHisBack.
Along with Travis and Tom, former TRL host, Carson Daly, also shared his support for Mark Hoppus by stating on Instagram, “I’m thinking [and] praying for my friend Mark Hoppus from Blink-182 who announced he’s fighting cancer.”
Carson then says that while he and Mark may not speak every day, he holds in his heart incredible memories of the times they shared a stage and mic doing what they both love so much.
“I’ve always been such a fan,” Carson continues, referring to Mark’s music. “You’re one of the best people I’ve met in the business. I know you will kick the sh— out of this and be back rocking in no time.”
He reassures that he’s here for Hoppus during his cancer fight. “Stay positive and you’ll beat this thing with the same ease that you, Tom, ad Travis had when you ran naked around the MTV studios. Love you, bro. You got this.”
