Famous actor Mark Wahlberg took to social media on Sunday evening to post another emotional video in honor of his late mother, Alma.

This year on Mother’s Day will be perhaps the toughest one yet for the Wahlberg family. Mark Wahlberg and his siblings had to say goodbye to their beloved mother, Alma, in April. She was a mother of nine and was 78 years old at the time of her death. She passed away after a long battle with dementia.

On Sunday, Mark Wahlberg let his emotions show once again with a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute. The actor and producer let the world know just how much his mother meant to him with a beautiful montage video.

“Miss you mom,” Wahlberg wrote alongside a video montage of his family. All the while, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” plays in the background.

Alma Wahlberg was no stranger to the bright lights herself. She was featured in the A&E series Wahlburgers, starring her son Paul and his vision to open a burger joint. Eventually, the show — and the food chain — found success.

After the Wahlberg brothers announced their mother’s passing on social media, the Wahlburger’s website put out a statement.

“Alma is the matriarch of the Wahlberg family,” the show’s website said. “As the mother of nine children, she has seen it all. Alma worked as a bank clerk and nurse’s aide to make ends meet while raising her children in tight quarters on the Dorchester streets where she grew up.”

Mark Wahlberg and Brothers Mourn the Loss of Their Parents

The Wahlberg family has definitely had a rough go of things lately. Just yesterday, the famous siblings mourned the loss of their father, Donald Wahlberg, on his birthday. And Donnie, the eighth of 12 children, penned a touching message to his late father on social media.

“Happy Heavenly Birthday Dad! Smiled so much watching this video,” Donnie Wahlberg wrote alongside the touching post. “I know I tend to write long posts but this video says it all. Such a perfect way to acknowledge the man he was, his no-quit attitude, and how it inspired me. Thank you @jaelynn.x for putting this together and posting it. So kind. ps — I blushed in the video and I’m blushing now.”

And now on Mother’s Day, the Wahlberg family is left to mourn their matriarch, Alma.

“I’m so blessed to have been brought into this world by, raised by, taught by, and set on my life’s path by such an amazing woman,” Donnie Wahlberg wrote in another post. “My mom Alma’s joy for life, love, and people — combined with a pride in her humble beginnings and refusal to forget where she came from — undoubtedly shaped me into the man that I am.”

“It’s time to rest peacefully, mom,” he added. “I love you, miss you, thank you, and will celebrate you today and always. Forever — your Baby Donnie.”
