Matthew McConaughey and Brad Pitt shared a special moment and McConaughey is reliving it today on Super Bowl Sunday. It’s “alright, alright, alright,” with us.
McConaughey shared a video on his Instagram of him and Pitt exchanging a football for a beer.
Pitt passes McConaughey a beer and then the two throw the football back and forth. They are standing on balconies in New Orleans.
One person commented on the post saying, “I was walking through the Quarter that day. We were in NOLA for my bachelor party. Drew Brees made fun of us for having matching shirts.”
Imagine walking through New Orleans and watching Matthew McConaughey and Brad Pitt play catch and then getting made fun of by quarterback Drew Brees. Sounds like a day to remember.
McConaughey is a longtime Texas football fan. He also once interviewed Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady for Interview Magazine.

Besides drinking beer and tossing around a football, McConaughey is celebrating Super Bowl LV with his own commercial.
He will be the star of the Doritos commercial. So far, fans are saying that is performance in his commercial is “flat” and “two-dimensional.”
According to USA Today, that’s mostly because he’s playing the role of “Flat Matthew.” He struggles with everyday activities in a two-dimensional version of himself. For example, he gets flattened by a football, ignored while standing at a coffee shop, and is literally blown away while out walking his dog.
He even is in a scene of the late night talk show with Jimmy Kimmel and Mindy Kaling. Kimmel says, “Did you drive here? Or did you travel by fax?” Eventually, he comes back to life with the help of Doritos new 3D Crunch product.
Entertainment During Super Bowl
The Super Bowl is tonight at 5:30 p.m. CT. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs will be facing off. The halftime show will feature the Weeknd. He should be taking the stage at about 7:30 p.m. CT.
Additionally, Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church are singing the national anthem to kick off the game. Award-winning artist H.E.R. will sing “America the Beautiful.” Warren “Wawa” Snipe, a deaf rapper, will be performing both in American Sign Language.
Miley Cyrus will perform at the TikTok Tailgate. Amanda Gorman will deliver a poem that is honoring three different pandemic heroes that will also be present at the game.
Besides Matthew McConaughey fans can expect to see stars like Jason Alexander, Dolly Parton, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, John Travolta, Amy Schumer, Don Cheadle, and Lenny Kravitz in different ads during the Super Bowl.
