“Sing 2” star Matthew McConaughey has not shared any on-screen time with one of his co-stars. Who could it be?

Matthew McConaughey is busy this holiday season promoting the new animated flick, “Sing 2.” The actor plays Buster Moon in a talented cast, featuring Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johansson. One of these actresses has appeared in multiple films with McConaughey but has never shared a scene with him.

The actress is Reese Witherspoon! “Sing 2” marks the pair’s third movie together. In addition to voicing “Sing,” the actors also appeared in the 2012 drama “Mud.” While they share movie credits, McConaughey and Witherspoon have never shared the same frame. They talk about this in their appearance on “The Ellen Degeneres Show.”

“Third movie together, and we’ve never been in the same frame,” McConaughey says.

“Yeah, I think people want to see us in a real movie together,” Witherspoon replies.

“I do too. I do, too. And it would be fun to do it where we are in the same frame.”

Fans are hoping to see their adorable friendship come to life on-screen. Some wish that they starred in a romantic comedy together!

“Matthew should have been her husband in sweet home Alabama,” one fan writes.

“Sorry guys I ship them. Yes [I know], it’s just my imagination 😂🔥” another says.

Matthew McConaughey’s Memoir “Hits a Nerve”

The actor is now a New York Times Bestselling Author. “Greenlights” by Matthew McConaughey is a memoir about the lessons he’s learned throughout his life and career. Topping the New York Times Bestseller List in 2020, the collection of true stories spent 47 weeks on the list.

While it receives mixed reviews from critics, it seems to resonate with his fans. McConaughey shares with The New York Times that the main message of the book is that everyone goes through hard times. It is about tackling these hardships head-on.

“Did I feel like what I was writing had a populace sort of nerve that it could hit? Yeah,” McConaughey says.

“Greenlights” is a memoir that consistently questions itself. McConaughey shares that this is a daily practice of his. He never wants to become stagnant with his values and philosophies.

“I’m still continuously testing and updating my philosophies, practically daily. And I can do better at a lot of them.”

Whether it’s through a short poem, or a story from his childhood, Matthew McConaughey writes to find the light at the end of the tunnel. While everyone faces hardships, they help us grow and evolve as people.

Could this actually be a banner year, where things got started?” McConaughey asks. “Where we got cleansed? A little evolution would be nice.”
