Meghan McCain Enjoys Family Vacation With Her ‘Water Baby’ After ‘The View’ Exit

Meghan McCain may have only recently left her position on “The View,” but she seems to have fully embraced spending time with her family and motherhood.

Captioning a recent Instagram photo “my water baby,” McCain is seen happily relaxing with her daughter, Liberty Sage. The photo was taken from a beach at Nags Head, North Carolina. Liberty turns 11 months old in a few days and appears to also be enjoying the time with her mother.

In addition to that photo, McCain shared another on her Instagram Story of her wearing a necklace. A closer look at the necklace reveals it says “mama.”

In February, Meghan McCain told PEOPLE about being a new mom. To her own surprise, she expressed how much she enjoyed it.

“I was really back and forth about whether or not I was even going to do it, and I can’t believe how obsessed with it I am. I feel like the universe is laughing at me, because I was so scared of having kids and so reluctant and so on the fence about it. Even when I was pregnant I was like, ‘I don’t know, we’ll see how this goes.'”

Further, she says the experience made her appreciate everything women go through when having children.

“Giving birth has taken me on my knees, in the sense that I surrender to all things that women have to go through. I just have such respect for all women everywhere who would do this in all ways.”

It’s nice to see McCain enjoying motherhood so much, as well as her newfound respect for mothers as a whole.

Meghan McCain Releasing ‘Bad Republican’ Memoir Which Addresses Leaving ‘The View’

Titled “Bad Republican,” Meghan McCain’s upcoming memoir will explain her departure from the view, among other things.

The memoir’s description on Audible gives a good idea of what to expect.

“McCain tells of growing up the daughter of an American icon and of the final moments she spent by her father’s side; of her (mis)adventures on the New York dating scene before meeting her now-husband, Ben; of her views on cancel culture, internet trolls, and life backstage as the sole Republican on America’s most-watched daytime talk show — and why she decided to leave.”

Though the title may seem negative, McCain appeared to have a positive outlook when leaving “The View.” In a tweet, she thanked everyone for the opportunity and wished her peers well.

“Tomorrow is my last show as a cohost @TheView – as they say, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of sharing my opinion with you every day. I wish my cohosts and the show the best of luck and goodwill going into season 25!”

McCain’s “Bad Republican” memoir will release October 21.
