Michael Strahan’s extraordinary trip to space has been delayed another few days. Firstly, Michael Strahan originally planned to take off Thursday from West Texas. However, Jeff Bezos’ space travel company, Blue Origin, moved the launch to Saturday due to high winds.

However, Strahan is staying positive through this delay.

“Even though the plans have changed the experience is still sweet! Kicking back and taking it all in at “Astronaut Village,” he writes on Twitter earlier today.

It’s important for him to take this time to relax and enjoy the little things. After all, you’ve got to take care of yourself first.

Some people are asking “What happened?” in the comments. Hopefully Saturday’s take-off doesn’t get delayed, as well.

Five others are joining him for the 10-minute flight, including Laura Shepard Churchley, the oldest daughter of America’s first astronaut, Alan Shepard.

The six space tourists will launch aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket 60 years after its Mercury flight. This will now be Blue Origin’s third launch with people actually on board. Bezos is ready for the first passenger flight next July.

Michael Strahan’s Career as an NFL Star

During his football career, Michael Strahan played as Defensive End for the New York Giants. He got drafted by them in the 1993 NFL draft.

Meanwhile, he had a record of 41.5 career quarterback sacks at Texas Southern. This skill developed him into the pros. By the time his 15th season ended, he ranked fifth all-time in sacks, and held the record for 141.5 sacks with the Giants.

Unfortunately, Strahan suffered from a foot injury that only allowed him to play nine games. He was moved to left defensive end where he tied for the team lead with five sacks. This injury didn’t stop him from winning an All-Pro designation and a Pro Bowl. He loved the game too much to give it up. Not even a foot injury will stop him from playing the game he loves most.

Over time, he has had a very successful career. Many young fans look up to Strahan for everything he’s accomplished.

They made it to the 42nd Super Bowl, and the Giants pulled off one of the major upsets in Super Bowl history.

“To be at your best on the biggest stage, the biggest game of your life, it was the perfect ending. I still can’t believe it,” Strahan said after winning Super Bowl 42.

Good Morning America Co-Host

Michael Strahan began co-hosting one of New York’s most popular talk shows, Good Morning America. He hosted alongside Sara Haines.

Michael Strahan has accomplished so much throughout his life. He is on his way to create many more memories.
