Miley Cyrus Fires Shots at Ex-Husband Liam Hemsworth on ‘Plastic Hearts’ Album

Miley Cyrus said that there would be songs on her new album about her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. She didn’t elaborate further at the time. But after Cyrus recently released Plastic Hearts fans began to parse the lyrics and find which songs could be about their failed marriage.

Fans believe they’ve figured it out, and the lyrics reads like Cyrus is taking a shot at the Australian film star.

In the song WTF Do I Know Cyrus’ squares off against a former lover.

“I’m not tryna have another conversation. Probably not gon’ wanna play me on your station. Pourin’ out a bottle full of my frustration. Here to tell you somethin’ that you don’t know.
“I’m the type to drive a pickup through your mansion. I’m completely naked but I’m makin’ it fashion. Maybe gettin’ married just to cause a distraction. Here to tell you somethin’ that you don’t know.

“Am I wrong that I moved on and I, And I don’t even miss you?
“Thought that it’d be you until I die. But I let go”

Moreover, Cyrus has confirmed that WTF Do I Know is about her ex-husband. Though, she said that the line “I don’t even miss you” was how she felt at that moment, according to Buzzfeed News.

There’s a verse later in the song that reads more like a direct shot on Hemsworth. Apparently, Hemsworth was upset when Miley Cyrus began dating someone new shortly after their divorce. The second verse seems to reflect that.

“Tryin’ to see the stars through the new pollution. Think that I’m a problem? Honey, I’m the solution. Maybe all the chaos is for your amusement. Here to tell you somethin’ that you don’t know
“Put you on a pedestal, you’re cravin’ the spotlight. Desperate for attention, nose is bloody, it’s daylight. Waking up with people that we met for the first time.
“Loved it, then I hate it, and I let you go.”

Fans Think Miley Cyrus Has More Lyrics about Hemsworth

According to Celeb Magazine, fans have noticed two other songs on Plastic Hearts that could be about Hemsworth. Those are High and Prisoner.

In High: “And in my head, I did my very best saying goodbye, goodbye. And I don’t miss you, but I think of you and don’t know why. I still feel high. Sometimes I stay up all night. ‘Cause you don’t ever talk to me in my dreams. And I think about eventually you’re holdin’ me. And dancin’ to the record like a movie scene.”

She didn’t confirm High wasn’t about anyone in particular, but there’s an epitaph on the Prisoners music video that reads “in loving memory of all of my exes.”

“You keep making it harder to stay. But I still can’t run away. I gotta know why can’t you, why can’t you just let me go?”

And later “Prisoner, prisoner, locked up. Can’t get you off my mind, off my mind. Lord knows I tried a million times, million times, oh-woah. Why can’t you, why can’t you just let me go?”
