Watching billionaires spend money on extravagant things could almost be a hobby at this point. Last month, two of the richest men in the world launched rockets into space. However, some might say that Galaxy Investment Partners CEO and Bitcoin billionaire Mike Novogratz is spending his money more wisely. On Sunday, he threw a massive party for his daughter Gabriela. The bash included a carnival atmosphere and a performance from Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus took the stage in a red high-cut spandex leotard and four-leaf clover belly chain. While there, she performed a medley of her hits as well as a few covers, according to Dan’s Papers. Cyrus covered The Pixies, Blondie, and other classic bands. So, the pop star stunned the crowd in more ways than one.
If you want to see a short clip of Miley Cyrus’ performance, you’re in luck.
She also posted a snippet of a song on her Instagram feed yesterday. However, an outburst from a woman in the front row makes it an NSFW video. She yells a very lude invitation to the singer. Cyrus referenced the outburst in the caption of the video. See the clip here:
Miley Cyrus seems to take the outburst in stride. However, the look on her face says that she might not have been too happy about it.
More About the Party that Miley Cyrus Headlined
Mike Novogratz is known as one of the hardest partiers on Wall Street. That love of the good times translated to his daughter’s birthday bash. Miley Cyrus was just the icing on the extravagant Coney Island-themed cake.
More specifically, the party had a “Coney Island mermaid parade,”: theme, according to Page Six. Guests entered the party through a giant entrance made to look like a box office. Neon lights above the entrance spelled out, “Novopark.” The guests also dressed in costumes to match the party’s theme. It seems that Miley Cyrus skipped the themed costume and went for an outfit that would add to the late July heat.
Novogratz didn’t skimp on anything when it came to the party’s carnivalesque atmosphere. Tents on the grounds offered booze, roasted corn, and ice cream, just like a real carnival but better. A Nathan’s Famous Hotdogs popup was also present. Hotdog-eating champion Joey Chestnut was there with his championship belt to pose for photos with partygoers.
The carnival atmosphere didn’t stop there, though. The party also featured stilt walkers and aerial acrobats. If the guests didn’t want to rock out with Miley Cyrus, the party also featured a silent disco. Guests could choose what they wanted to hear, put on headphones, and hit the dance floor.
Page Six also reported that Novogratz wanted to do some good with the birthday bash. According to their sources, he asked his guests to support Project Most. That nonprofit organization helps to fund after-school and summer learning programs for families in East Hampton.
