Lambert & King Crush ‘Drunk’ at 2021 ACM Awards
” This song is such a fun, jump around song!! @mirandalambert and @ElleKingMusic started off the #ACMAwards off perfectly!!!,” reacts ACM viewer Maggie.
We dare anyone to disagree! One of the best country songs to hit in the last decade, “Drunk (And I Dont Wanna Go Home)” is a genre-defying banger of a good time.
Miranda Lambert & Elle King, former tourmates, teamed up for their newest duet after their CMA-winning smash cover of “Fooled Around and Fell in Love.”
According to Rolling Stone‘s praise-filled review of the track, Elle King wrote the “uptempo “Drunk” with Martin Johnson (who also produced the track) and it was recorded pre-pandemic in Nashville and New York.”
Fans finally heard the hit for the first time come February 2021 – and the genre hasn’t been the same since.
And as brilliant as the song is – the music video is even more glorious. Check it out for yourself below, and stick with Outsider.com for all the best from the 2021 ACM Awards!
