ACM Awards 2021: How, When, Where to Watch

The time has come, country music fans. Tonight is one of the biggest nights for the genre’s stars as well as its fans. The ACM Awards are mere hours away. This year will be a big one. From the hosts to the performances and beyond, the Academy of Country Music is pulling out all the stops for tonight’s awards show.

This year, fans have three different ways to watch the ACM Awards. Firstly, you can tune in to your local CBS station and catch all the action live. The show kicks off at 8/7c tonight. If you’re not able to tune in to a local station, don’t worry. There are two different streaming options. You can sign in to the CBS app through your TV provider. You’ll be able to watch the show live at the same time as on its regular broadcast. Also, you’ll be able to watch it on demand through the app after the show is over. Fans can also catch the Academy of Country Music’s festivities through the Paramount+ app. Much like the CBS app, Paramount+ allows you to watch live as well as on-demand.

What to Expect From This Year’s ACM Awards

The ACM Awards is one of the biggest nights in country music on an average year. 2021 isn’t an average year. After the chaos that was 2020, things are slowly returning to normal. So, tonight, the Academy of Country Music will celebrate not only the achievements of its biggest names and rising stars but also the world returning to what it was. So, fans can expect a lot from tonight’s broadcast.

For starters, the ACM Awards will be coming at you live from three of the most important venues in Nashville. The festivities will take place at the Grand Ole Opry House, The Bluebird Café, and, of course, the Mother Church itself, The Ryman Auditorium. So, along with awards, accolades, and great performances, fans can see some of the most iconic stages in Music City.

Speaking of performances, this year’s ACM Awards is packed to the brim with performers that are guaranteed to get your toes tapping. Twenty-five entertainers will present over thirty songs to the nationwide audience. You’ll get to see some of the biggest names in country music do what they do best. Among those slated to perform are Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Ashley McBryde, among many others.

Tonight’s ACM Awards are also pushing some boundaries. For example, Mickey Guyton will co-host the event with Keith Urban. She is the first Black woman to host the Academy of Country Music’s award show. At the same time, four Black artists are nominated for awards tonight. It’s going to be a big night for everyone. Be sure to tune in and watch this history-making broadcast.
