Alan Jackson ‘Brought Country Back to Nashville’: VIDEO

by Taylor Cunningham

Alan Jackson is remembering his epic return to Nashville today. And his fans are sharing their favorite moments from the event.

Two-time Grammy-winning country legend Alan Jackson is still hitting the stage, despite his battle with a rare neurological disorder Charcot-Marie-Tooth. And on October 8th, he sang for a packed Nashville crowd at Bridgestone Arena.

Jackson was originally supposed to play the set just outside his hometown of Franklin, TN, in May. But due to COVID concerns, he postponed the event. And when ticket holders finally got to stand in his presence, they were pumped.

“Let’s get in here and play real country music,” Jackson yelled to the audience and he stepped on stage. “Songs about life and love and heartache, drinking and dancing, cryin’ and dyin’ and mama and having a good time, and all that stuff that makes country songs so great… that’s what I’ve done my whole career, is write and record those kind of songs.”

It’s been a month since the Nashville concert, but Alan Jackson is still feeling the Music City vibe. So today, he hopped on Twitter and asked his fans to comment with their favorite memories from the night.

“Alan brought country #Back to Nashville!,” he wrote alongside a highlight reel. “Reply with your favorite moment from that night!”

Alan Jackson Asked Fans to Write About Favorite Moments from Nashville Concert

Today, Alan Jackson wanted to reminisce about his amped event at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and his fans were happy to join. So what were their favorite memories from the night?

Jackson’s duet with his daughter Alexandra definitely topped the list. The two sang You’ll Always Be My Baby, and there weren’t many dry eyes in the audience.

“His duet with his daughter was the greatest moment that night,” wrote @JillHiott. “It was heartwarming and endearing! Such a wonderful display of a Fathers love for his daughter and her love for him as her Daddy. Just priceless and such a blessing to everyone. Gods presence in their life is so obvious!”

But a lot of people couldn’t pick their favorite moment. Alan Jackson is the definition of country music perfection, so we can’t blame them.

“The whole entire show was my favorite for my first time seeing Alan in concert,”@DendyCade responded. “Just to see Alan [is] amazing,” @Countrychic5620 commented before telling Jackson that she’s his “number 1 fan.”

And of course, a lot of people “just love to listen to him sing.”
