Well, we have made it to the first official holiday of the New Year that socially allows irresponsible drinking. From Florida to California, millions of Americans (of Irish descent or not) will engage in St. Patrick’s Day festivities. Blake Shelton knows he will join in the fun. He let his fans know in a hilarious Twitter post earlier today.
“Not 100% sure if I’m Irish,” Blake Shelton said in his Twitter post. “But I am 100% sure I’ll be drinking tonight.”
Millions of Americans will toast with Blake Shelton’s sentiment. In some states where COVID-19 restrictions have lifted a bit, many partiers will live like it’s 2019 again. Things might start to get back to some semblance of normal soon. So I will drink to that on this St. Patty’s Day.
Blake Shelton Has Other Reasons to Celebrate in 2021
While Blake Shelton maybe 100% sure he will drink tonight, he nears 100% sure he will get married this year. He and Gwen Stefani have joked about their inability to decide on a date. However, the two feel fairly confident that the wedding will at least happen this year. They got engaged in October of last year, but the couple had to hold off any plans of getting married.
Gwen Stefani spoke about the wedding earlier with Ryan Seacrest. “I just want my parents there at this point. My parents wouldn’t come to Thanksgiving because they’re so scared, so really would rather it not be a COVID situation,” she said about her wedding with Blake Shelton. “I would rather not have masks … Even when you cut it down to just family, it’s still too many people for COVID, so we’re going to see what happens in the next few months.”
Blake Shelton also added some optimistic thinking about getting married this year. “I don’t see any reason why sometime this year we can’t get married,” he said. “We just want to be sure that we are able to have the people there that we love and that they can be safe while they’re there.”
