Country music superstar Blake Shelton is making a run at “husband of the year” even though he has yet to tie the knot. Shelton is engaged to fellow music industry icon Gwen Stefani and the couple is eyeing a 2021 wedding, according to reports.
Stefani released her latest single this week and the song has taken off like a rocket in popularity. “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” is the former No Doubt singer’s latest musical offering and the song is doing quite well. On Monday, Shelton put out a tweet showing the song quickly rising up the charts and currently sits in the top 20 downloads.
“This so exciting!” Shelton says in the tweet. “It’s happening @gwenstefani! It’s happening! #LetMeReintroduceMyself”
Blake Shelton Using Social Media to Support Gwen Stefani
Shelton put out several tweets on Monday supporting his future wife’s latest hit single. To say he is excited about her work is a tremendous understatement. He follows up the tweet with another post showing that Stefani’s song has risen into the top 10 downloads.
He also sent out a series of tweets in the days leading up to the song’s release on Monday, Dec. 7. In between tweets celebrating his fiance’s new single, he also found time to celebrate “Mullet Monday.” The singer rocked the infamous hairstyle in his younger years and is not ashamed to admit it. He shared a “throwback” photo of himself with a pristine mullet, screaming “business in front and party in the back.”
Since meeting on “The Voice,” Shelton and Stefani embarked on a relationship that will see them tie the knot in 2021. Though a date has not yet been selected, they do have a location for the wedding. Reports say Shelton built a small chapel by hand just for the occasion. The small chapel resides on the singer’s ranch in Oklahoma.
