Country music star and “The Voice” coach Blake Shelton shared a heartfelt anecdote about tractors on his Twitter account Friday.

Apparently, Shelton’s late father, Dick Shelton, was a tractor salesman later in his life. He started out selling cars, according to his obituary, retiring in 2010. He died in 2012.

On Friday, Shelton posted two photos of tractors to his Twitter account. Above the first one, he included the caption, “My dad sold Kubota tractors right up until he passed away…. He sold me this one in 2006. It’s been a good one. Buuuuttttt……..”

Shelton followed that up with a photo of himself standing in front of a brand-new tractor in camo fatigues, boots and a cap. “Today, 15 years later I finally upgraded!” he captioned the second photo. “It’s springtime yall! Time to get to farmin’!!!!!!”

Blake Shelton Has a Farm in Tishomingo

Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch stretches over 1,300 acres, and it’s just five minutes outside Tishomingo, according to Country Fancast. It features a main house with four bedrooms, a horse barn, multiple ponds and a shed where he stores his tractor.

But the ranch has been listed for sale for $4.7 million, per Country Fancast. And Shelton reportedly spends more of his time at his Texoma Shore lake house, which has room for 20 people and includes a recording studio.

Still, Shelton has gotten plenty of use out of his ranch property. He and Stefani have escaped from Los Angeles to his ranch with Stefani’s three sons, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, and they’ve spent a lot of time there enjoying the great outdoors.

“Blake loves getting dirty with the boys. They’re always playing basketball or running around,” a source told Us Weekly in 2019. “They love it there because it’s just the five of them out on the land, hunting or hiking.”

Shelton’s Lake House Is Incredible

Shelton’s lake house boasts a Hawaiian décor theme, views of Lake Texoma, three tiki huts and a pool, according to KXII.

Shelton started building the house in 2015 and finished it in 2018, per Country Fancast. The house is white with blue doors and shutters. Its master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the pool and the lake.

The country singer is well-liked around Lake Texoma, where he has twice helped out his neighbors when they were having truck trouble. In one case, Shelton even went home and got his tractor to pull a man’s car out of the mud. Now that’s a good neighbor.
