Blake Shelton Introduces Gwen Stefani as ‘Gwen Stefani Shelton’ During Concert Performance

Country star Blake Shelton and pop star Gwen Stefani have not let their fans down. The duo has been turning up in lots of different places since their wedding earlier this month to perform their hit songs together.

The latest of those was CMA’s Summer Jam in Nashville, where Stefani joined Shelton onstage to perform their duet “Happy Anywhere.”

Shelton was onstage strumming his guitar as he introduced his new bride with the words, “Gwen Stefani Shelton!” The crowd promptly broke out into applause, according to People.

Stefani later posted a picture of the outfit she wore to the event, along with a gentle admonition to Shelton. “@blakeshelton next time i get to wear a pretty dress will u take a picture with me?,” she wrote.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Tied the Knot Over Independence Day Weekend

Shelton and Stefani wed on July 3 surrounded by 40 close friends and family members. Mutual pal Carson Daly officiated at the wedding. The couple wrote their own vows, including – in Shelton’s case – a song composed just for the occasion.

Both the wedding and the reception took place at Shelton’s Tishomingo, Oklahoma ranch, but that doesn’t mean the couple didn’t go all-out for the celebration. There was a chapel built expressly for the wedding. There was a fancy five-tier wedding cake with a traditional bride-and-groom topper. And there was a custom-designed white Vera Wang wedding gown complete with a sweetheart plunging neckline, fitted bodice and high low hand tumbled tulle skirt.

Stefani recently said that the wedding surpassed her expectations.

“It was everything they wanted: family, friends, dancing, the beauty and familiarity of the Oklahoma surroundings and lots of love and laughter,” a source familiar told People after the wedding. “It couldn’t have been better.”

The Couple Recently Rehearsed at Shelton’s Tishomingo Bar

Both Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have a lot going on. Shelton is prepping for his tour, which runs from late July through October. Stefani is gearing up for her fall Las Vegas residency and working on her upcoming solo album. But they have taken time out to perform for fans in Tishomingo since their wedding.

The newlyweds recently popped up at Shelton’s Ole Red bar in Tishomingo. They performed three songs there: “Happy Anywhere,” “Nobody But You” and Stefani’s No Doubt hit “Don’t Speak.”

And at Shelton’s Wisconsin show last week, Stefani made a cameo and performed “Don’t Speak” with her new husband.

All told, it looks like the newlyweds are having a blast together, on and offstage.
