Blake Shelton is thrilled to have Gwen Stefani back on the “The Voice”, but which is more important – winning – or your significant other?
The Voice is on to an unbelievable Season 19 – and Blake Shelton is “very happy” to have girlfriend Gwen Stefani back on the show. “Season 19 is gonna be a lot different for us,” Shelton says to ET Canada. “Because it’s gonna be the first time we’ve auditioned people for this show without a live studio audience.”
The Voice star – who’s an original coach and has stuck around the longest by far – isn’t letting this phase him, though. “I think it’ll be very interesting, and will open up a whole new dynamic with the coaches. Which, by the way, Gwen’s back – which makes me very happy.”
And how does he feel about his girlfriend of 5 years being back on the show with him? “Having Gwen back, though, I think is very comforting for all the coaches. We all feel like we’re able to just go back to the game we already knew. We all know how to play each other at this thing. It kinda felt like the old gang got back together again and we’re having a blast.”
Which is more important to Blake Shelton – Gwen- or winning?
The lighthearted Shelton is known for his humor – but also for his competitive streak. And he certainly doesn’t seem to want to lose to his serious girlfriend, either.
“All the coaches came to win this season,” Shelton finishes with a laugh. And if fans of The Voice know anything about the country star by now – is that he loves to win more than he hates to lose. Not even his dear girlfriend will stand in the way of that…
