Blake Shelton is enjoying an incredible July. It’s like the entire month is one long honeymoon.

First came his wedding and now he’s celebrating Emmy nominations.

The country star and coach on The Voice retweeted the Emmy news, adding “Congrats fam!!

The Voice enjoyed a big day when the Emmy nominations were revealed earlier this week. The singing competition received seven nominations.

The one Blake Shelton celebrated was for outstanding competition program. The show is up against Nailed It, RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Amazing Race and Top Chef.

The other The Voice nominations were for editing, hairstyling, lighting, technical direction, casting and direction.

Blake Shelton and The Voice Celebrated Big at Previous Emmy Ceremonies

Blake Shelton and his fellow mentors have been a part of four victories for outstanding reality program. They took home an Emmy for seasons in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

The Emmy nominations were like icing on a cake. A life=changing event happened, July 3, when Blake Shelton married long-time fiancée Gwen Stefani, who, coincidentally, is a former mentor on The Voice.

The two were married on Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma. He built a chapel for the ceremony and 40 friends and family members watched the couple exchange vows.

Stefani wore a Vera Wang designer gown complete with stiletto cowboy boots, which were studded with crystals. She modeled her wedding outfit on Instagram, posting “you need a party dress when u get to marry Blake Shelton.”

People magazine reported that Stefani’s veil was a hand-embroidered veil with the couple’s names. Plus, Stefani had her three sons’ names added as well. The veil also featured three birds, meant to signify Stefani’s children — Apollo, Zuma, and Kingston. She had the sons with former husband Gavin Rossdale.

About the Wedding Music: Give a Nod to The Voice Coaches

The first dance between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani was to Your Eyes, a Peter Gabriel love song from 1986. The playlist for the reception/dance party included songs from Shelton’s fellow The Voice coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, as well as Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan.

There’s not a ton of time for a honeymoon. Stefani is working on a solo album — it will be her fifth. Plus, she’s prepping for a series of Las Vegas shows this fall. Meanwhile, Blake Shelton is filming for The Voice. It starts its 21st season this fall. His COVID-delayed Friends and Heroes concert tour starts next month.

The two have The Voice to thank for their marriage. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani met on set in 2014 and started dating the next year. Although the two have been together for so long, they didn’t get engaged until last October.

“They have found true happiness as a couple and as a family and are thrilled to be married,” a source told People. “Their friends and families are over the moon for them.”

And add some more Emmy nominations to the pile of wedding gifts.
