Country music singer-songwriter Brad Paisley pokes fun at co-host Blake Shelton after taping an upcoming Grand Ole Opry celebration.

“Grand Ole Opry: 95 Years of Country Music,” with Paisley and Shelton headlining as hosts, will air at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central on Sunday night on NBC.

Paisley took to social media on Saturday night after their work at the Grand Ole Opry. He expressed hope that some big words on a teleprompter didn’t do too much to hurt Shelton’s feelings.

Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton have been major players on the country music scene for many years.

However, Shelton is kind of implying he’s bigger than Paisley these days with his sarcastic response.

Performers on the show include Dolly Parton, Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, Lady A, Little Big Town, and Carrie Underwood.

Similarly, if you are looking for some throwback country clips, then you won’t be disappointed. Scenes with Johnny Cash on tape will be shown. Plenty of other archival films are set to be shown in celebration of the Grand Ole Opry.

The Grand Ole Opry, obviously, is a staple for country music fans who still dial into WSB-AM on Saturday nights. It’s happened from generation to generation. They’ve listened to the likes of Ernest Tubbs, Loretta Lynn, and Kacey Musgraves.

Grand Ole Opry Member Brad Paisley Releases New Song

Brad Paisley is a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Yet he’s still making great music. In fact, Paisley recently released a new track called “Offroad.”

“I’ve got some new music for you and it’s going to come out tomorrow,” Paisley said in advance of the song.

“It’s about every girl who won’t stay in her lane, every girl that busts through roadblocks to get to where she wants to go,” Paisley said. “You know who you are. I hope you love it.”

A little bit of “Offroad” is played on the clip which, by the way, was released on social media.

Who knows? It might become another No. 1 hit for Paisley.

Opry Member Blake Shelton Focusing On Gwen Stefani

Blake Shelton is an Opry member himself. Right now, he’s getting used to being engaged to Gwen Stefani.

For instance, this whole thing reportedly came as a surprise to Shelton and others.

Appearing on CBS’ “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” this week, the Grand Ole Opry member talked about his upcoming marriage to the pop superstar.

However, Colbert started out by cracking a joke about the engaged couple.

“I’ll tell you something that surprises a lot of people … you’re engaged to Gwen Stefani!” Colbert said. “What the? I mean, you seem like a nice guy; you’re talented and everything, but she’s Gwen Stefani! What the h*** is going on, Blake Shelton?”

Shelton Is Surprised As Anyone About Stefani Engagement

The joke got a laugh from Shelton, who went on to share his thoughts on how he landed such a terrific fiancee.

“Stephen, listen – nobody is more shocked about this than I am,” Shelton said. “… It makes no sense. I can see that you’re looking at that picture right now and going, ‘What the h*** has happened?'”

While Shelton wonders what happened for him to land Stefani, the Grand Ole Opry takes Sunday night’s spotlight.

The special honors 95 years of incredible country music performances. Obviously, it will be full of stars from the past and present. The spotlight shines brightly on the show thanks to Shelton and Paisley. In other words, it’ll be a night to remember for country music fans.
