It looks like Peyton Manning and Brad Paisley are going to have a lot less time to hang out now. That’s because the “There’s No I in Beer” singer is going back on the road. After COVID-19 sidelined all U.S. stadium tours, Paisley is back at it. And he seems ecstatic.

He kicked off the first date of his tour in Jacksonville on July 8 and posted some behind-the-scene moments to Twitter.

“We are back on the road. I am so excited to see you guys out here,” he said in his Twitter video. “We’re kicking things off here tonight in Jacksonville, but you can come see me in another city. It’s crazy. We’re back!”

You can see his upcoming tour dates at his website.

Reviews of the shows say Brad Paisley was as electric as ever. He hadn’t missed a beat from, I guess, playing the Nationwide jingle for 12 hours a day for 15 months.

“It’s been a while,” Paisley told the crowd, according to The Florida-Union Times. “You look just as beautiful as ever. You gained 15 pounds, but you’re just as beautiful as ever.”

Paisley is a brilliant guitar player, so he threw in Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” and Prince’s “Purple Rain” and others, in amongst his own hits.

Brad Paisley Not the Only Artist Back on the Road

Brad Paisley wasn’t the only artist jonesing to get back on stage after literally being barred from performing live for so long.

Garth Brooks plans to kick off his first stadium tour in more than a year Saturday. The last live show he performed was in front of 70,000 fans at Ford Field in Detroit in February 2020.

Garth Brooks is the rare country star that can get fans from other genres to join in on the fun. Having a moment together where we can let loose and have a little fun, may not be what the doctor ordered, but it feels like what we need.

“I think that standing in a stadium full of people singing the same words to the same songs, and Garth, his energy is so infectious, and he attracts an audience that is all colors, creeds, sizes, shapes, everything, Andrea Rizk, a 44-year-old, told USA Today. “I know personally that I am so ready to be in that environment again. Music is such a unifier, and I think as a country, we are super desperate for that.”

Alabama will also hit the road with more than 20 dates this year and next. The band had to cancel several shows in 2019 after Randy Owen was struck with vertigo. And the pandemic caused them to cancel all of the band’s shows in 2020.

A lot of the band’s friends are expected to join in as well. They include Martina McBride, The Marshall Tucker Band, Travis Tritt, Tracy Lawrence, and The Beach Boys, among many others.
