Country star Brett Eldredge is joining other musicians this holiday season for the #CarolForACause campaign with the help of T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods.
Eldredge and six other artists will be posting their favorite Christmas carols on their Instagram Reels to benefit Feeding America. The other artists joining Eldredge include Meghan Trainor, Brandy, Andy Grammer, Sofia Reyes, Pentatonix, and Ally Brooke.
Every week between now and December 27, one of the artists involved with the campaign will post their Christmas carol on Instagram. On Tuesday, Trainor will kick things off with her song, and a new artist will do the same each following week.
Yet, the #CarolForaCause campaign is open to all. Instagram users can contribute their own #CarolForACause videos. In fact, each Christmas song posted with the hashtag will earn a $10 donation for Feeding America. T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods will fund the donations up to $1 million – or the first 100,000 videos posted.
Eldredge said he joined the #CarolForACause campaign to spread holiday cheer. He acknowledged that 2020 has been a “strange year” for many, and wants to give back to those in need.
“It’s been a strange year and the reality is the holidays may look a little different for everyone this year. But, the magic of the season shouldn’t be any different,” he told Sounds Like Nashville. “I’m happy to be able to partner with T.J.Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods, who are spreading holiday cheer and giving back to those that really need it right now!”
Eldredge Encouraging Others to Get Involved
The country singer is excited to use music as a way to raise donations for Feeding America. He says that during tough times, music has brought him optimism and he hopes it can do the same for others. Eldredge is encouraging others to get involved with the #CarolForACause campaign to help those in need this Christmas season.
“2020 has shown us all that we’re stronger together,” Eldredge explains. “Music brings me a lot of optimism in tough times and I hope it can do the same for others. The fact that I get to make people smile, bring out some holiday spirit and do it to help to provide meals for people across the United States, is really incredible. All you have to do is record a carol, post it to Instagram Reels with the hashtag #CarolForACause and $10 will be donated to Feeding America on behalf of the brands.”
The musician has not announced which Christmas carol he’ll sing for his #CarolForACause video. However, he did share some of his favorite Christmas songs, which could be a hint of what’s to come.
“‘White Christmas’ is hard to beat. I feel that song can transport me to a magical dreamland in a few magical Christmas seconds,” Eldredge said. “‘The Christmas Song,’ Nat King Cole’s version is like butter on a Christmas biscuit, it couldn’t be more comforting. ‘Let it Snow,’ the energy of this song makes me want to dance and act like a Christmas fool.”
