To say that Carly Pearce has had a whirlwind career would be an understatement. She got her start on the stage at Dollywood when she was only 16 years old. Then, she burst onto the country music scene in 2017 with her debut album Every Little Thing. The title track of that album was her first number one. She had another chart-topper in 2020 with “I Hope You’re Happy Now.”

The singer-songwriter has more to hang her hat on than hit singles, though. She has also taken home her share of awards from some of country music’s most prestigious bodies. For instance, “Every Little Thing,” brought her the Breakthrough Video of the Year Award at the 2018 CMT Awards. In 2020 Carly shared the CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year with Lee Brice for their duet, “I Hope You’re Happy Now.” Earlier this year, she scored two ACM Awards for the same song. She and Lee Brice shared both Single of the Year and Music Event of the Year. That’s not even counting the slew of nominations she’s received over the past few years.

Last week, Carly Pearce received yet another honor. She was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry. Not only that, Dolly Parton invited her to join the Opry. Dolly’s involvement makes everything more special. This is especially true in this instance. It was like life coming full circle for Carly. If you haven’t seen the video yet, check it out below. You may need a tissue or two.

So, with all that going for her, some people wanted to know what’s next for Carly Pearce.

Outsider had the pleasure of taking part in a press event with Carly yesterday afternoon. During that event, we asked what was left on her country music bucket list.

Carly Pearce On Her Country Music Bucket List Items

So, what’s left on Carly Pearce’s country music bucket list? The short answer was, “So many things!”

Carly isn’t one to rest on her laurels. In fact, she has some big aspirations. On this, she said, “I feel like if you continually strive for more, that’s what makes you a great artist and that’s what makes you successful.” Then she added, with a laugh, “I want more of it all!”

Then, more seriously, she said, “I just really want to be a staple. I want to be a household name. Like when you say Dolly and Loretta and Reba and Trisha and Faith and Miranda and Carrie I want you to say Carly and people know.” She knows exactly how she’s going to get to where she wants to be, too. Carly Pearce said, “That just makes me want to continue to raise the bar for myself in everything I do.”

Carly Pearce will be formally inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on August 3rd. She’ll be one step closer to being a household name.
