On Friday, the country music icon Carrie Underwood will appear on the Today show to chat and perform. The musician and entrepreneur will chat with the Today show team and play some songs off her brand new gospel album, My Savior. She has not yet released that album, however, she has released three singles from it. She will likely perform some of those on Friday.
“Catch Carrie on the Today Show this Friday at 8 am and 10 am ET on NBC,” Carrie Underwood said on Twitter. “Where she’ll chat and perform songs from My Savior!”
Fans have anticipated her release of My Savior since she announced it. The official release date is set for the same day Carrie Underwood will appear on the Today Show. With that in mind, we hopefully can expect some performances of the brand new songs.
With any luck, we may get some pretty outstanding guest performers on Friday. For instance, back in February Carrie Underwood revealed who she would feature on the new album. Among the big names were familiar Gospel stars such as CeCe Winans and Bear Rinehart. Underwood also mentioned that an elite group of Nashville musicians will help produce the tracks.
Carrie Underwood My Savior Track List
After working on her Christmas album, My Gift, Carrie Underwood rode the wave of momentum straight into working on her Gospel album. She informed her fans that the album would consist of some of her favorite gospel songs that she grew up on.
“For this album, I chose some of the familiar hymns I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember,” Carrie Underwood shared on Instagram. “These songs set the foundation for me and I hope you love them as much as I do.”
In February, Carrie Underwood further clarified what those certain songs might look like. On February 11, she shared a post on Instagram that revealed the tracklist for the upcoming album. In the short video, she listed those thirteen songs that will appear on My Savior. Some of the highlights include a “Jesus Loves Me” instrumental, “Great is Thy Faithfulness” which will feature CeCe Winans, and “Amazing Grace” to close it out.
It is surprising that Carrie Underwood would leave “Jesus Loves Me” as an instrumental considering her son, Isaiah has proved to have such a beautiful voice for the song. In an adorable video from 2017, Underwood and her son sing “Jesus Loves Me” in an adorable duet in their car. Isaiah also proved his singing abilities on Underwood’s Christmas album, My Gift.
