Country music singer Carrie Underwood took to social media early on Monday evening to post a touching tribute to the women who have inspired her.
March 8th is of course International Women’s Day, a day to thank all of the important women in our lives. And although Carrie Underwood is an important woman in so many people’s lives on her own, she has her own set of inspirations.
The country music superstar took to her official Twitter page on Monday to speak about how grateful she is to those who have inspired her over the years.
“Celebrating #InternationalWomensDay today,” Underwood wrote on Twitter. “Am so grateful for all the wonderful women in my life and all of those who have inspired me so much over the years!”
One Underwood fan, Jamie Heisler (@softballjunkie46), left a message saying that the country star is a great role model herself.
“Beautiful tribute Carrie! I love your admiration and appreciation for the women who came before you,” they wrote on Twitter. “You are a great role model yourself to young ladies today and a wonderful example of hard work, perseverance, kindness, and generosity. Thanks 4 being you! #InternationalWomensDay”
Michelle ✨, (@itcarriekingdom), replied as well. She says, “Happy International Women Day!! Thank you for being such inspirational Women in my life!! I love you Carrie!! ❤️❤️”
