Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher are showing off their Christmas spirit. The “Before He Cheats” singer took to her Instagram stories on Christmas Eve to give her fans and followers a look at their matching pajamas.
The selfie shows Underwood and Fisher rocking red outfits covered in cartoon reindeer and snowflakes. The pair shoot a smile at the camera as the country superstar captioned the pic: “Christmas PJs and chill.”
Carrie Underwood Describes Her Perfect Christmas
Earlier this month, the 37-year-old mother of two dished on what her Christmas plans typically look like. Underwood says that holiday festivities typically involve visiting with her family, or her husband’s family, and lots of food.
“Generally, we do a lot of traveling around Christmas,” Underwood said. “We’ll either go see my family or my husband’s family. I’ll spend all day cooking, I’ll make a small turkey even though I don’t eat turkey. I’ll make myself some Tofuturkey. Cranberry sauce of course. We do, of course, sweet potato casserole. We got to have that. That’s one of my favorites because it’s a side dish and dessert.”
In addition to chowing down on some delicious grub, Underwood says Christmas has taken on new meaning watching her kids.
“I’ll just make a ridiculous amount of food. Celebrate and have a fire,” Underwood said. “We wait for Santa and open our presents. Then we’re off to see the next group of family. It’s just all about watching it through my son’s eyes and getting to spend time with family.”
‘Hallelujah’ Duet with John Legend Goes No. 1
Not only has Underwood been making the most of holiday time with family, but also she has been lighting up the charts with her Christmas duet with John Legend. The two paired up for a duet on a heartwarming song titled “Hallelujah.”
Earlier this week, Underwood and Legend celebrated the song topping the Christian charts.
The song came as part of her Christmas Album, My Gift. Learn more about the album and about Carrie’s HBO special in which she performs songs from the album here.
