Carrie Underwood can’t seem to catch a break on social media recently. Fans are now attacking the country music star after she posted a selfie to her Instagram to promote her fashion line.
Underwood uploaded a shot of her working on new items for the CALIA by Carrie line of workout wear.
“Who’s ready for some new @CALIAbyCarrie? Getting it done through virtual design meetings! #StayThePath #ChooseYou,” she captioned the photo.
At issue for most people was the price of Underwood’s fashion line and the sizes that were available.
“Your items are cute but not affordable for a working woman” one person posted.
“I really like the styles, but very pricey ❤️,” another commented.
“Remember we all aren’t size 8. Think of the bigger girls. 😊,” piped up another poster.
But there was also support for Underwood among her nearly 10 million Instagram followers.
“You look so beautiful Carrie. ❤️ Even though I can’t afford Calia, I can’t wait to see your new designs! :),” one person said.
“Love those leggings Carrie! Have fun designing! 💜” someone else posted.
This is just the most recent instance of social media backlash for Underwood.
