NFL football is back! That means the Sunday Night Football opener is back and arguably better than ever. Carrie Underwood killed the song! She had teased the opener up leading up to Sunday and it did not disappoint. As one of the country’s biggest artists, it has fans wondering if she could play the Super Bowl halftime show. Now that would be something.

For many NFL fans, the Sunday Night Football theme is a happy tradition. Something to get you going right before the game. Also, the universal last call to get your food, beer, and find a seat. Underwood was kind enough to share the video with her fans on her Instagram page.

The big headliner, Chicago Bears against the Los Angeles Rams, was highlighted throughout the video. It is really a great rendition of the opening song. Settling in with family and friends as the music hits, that’s a good weekend. With the Chicago Bears going up against the LA Rams this was a big market battle. Now, fans are asking when the halftime performance is coming in February.

While the opening song was great, the play on the field was a little lacking. The Rams made easy work of the Bears during the game. By the time the third quarter was over, the game itself was over. The Bears only managed 14 points. The Rams won 34-14.

Carrie Underwood Las Vegas Residency

Right now, fans can get ready for Carrie Underwood’s Las Vegas residency while they wait for a Super Bowl announcement. This December, things get underway with a slate of shows during the month as part of her stay in Vegas. So many country artists over the years have had residencies in the city and it is fitting that Underwood gets her own.

After the December shows, Underwood takes a little break. Through January she will not be playing any Las Vegas shows, and she will likely be touring elsewhere during this time. However, when February rolls around she will be back on the stage in Vegas. There are also a set of shows scheduled for March of 2022. So, if you can’t catch her at the end of this year, there are other shows to look forward to.

Carrie Underwood has had a busy last couple of weeks. She has released two new songs. Only Us along with Dan + Shay as well as a duet with Jason Aldean. If I Didn’t Love You debuted five days ago and has already amassed 827k views on YouTube. With two stars like Aldean and Underwood, it is no wonder why this song has had such great success in such little time.
