Carrie Underwood recently revealed her favorite workout routine, tips to eating on the go, and her go-to playlists in her new book.

Since launching her activewear line with Dick’s Sporting Goods in 2014, Underwood has been a go-to source for tips on how to stay healthy. Most recently, Underwood released her new book, Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life. During an interview on the Drew Barrymore Show, Underwood shares that “everything in the book is about being approachable and real,” when it comes to creating fitness and healthy eating routines.

“At the core of what I do, I’m a working mom. I have a busy schedule taking kids to school and to whatever practices are going on – and just juggling like we all are. And we offer a lot of hacks and tricks to eating on the go. And making sure that you have some easily grabbable foods in your refrigerator and pantry that you can find anywhere,” says Underwood.

Underwood adds that the most important take away from her book is to “Enjoy your life, it’s all about balance.”

What Is Carrie Underwood’s Fit52 Workout?

With so many complicated workout routines requiring equipment many people don’t have access to, Underwood opts for an easy routine that requires only a deck of cards. During the same interview, Underwood explains how to do her Fit52 workout at home.

“My trainer and I kind of fine-tuned it. It’s a game that’s been around for a while,” says Underwood. “We use a deck of cards. You flip a card over and the suit tells you what exercise you’re doing. The number tells you how many reps…It keeps things moving and it’s circuit training at its basic level,” she says.

Underwood’s book also features a list of several playlists to help keep things moving while you’re breaking a sweat.

“That’s such a great tip to getting into the gym as well. Make it fun, switch it up, have a playlist,” suggests Underwood. “My playlists vary from day to day. This morning I did something with boy bands and it was just all boy bands. And it was just fun to see who’s going to come next,” she says.
