Carrie Underwood Shares Touching Anniversary Photo with Husband Mike Fisher: ‘Here’s to Many, Many More’

It was sweet, simple, and incredibly heartfelt. Country superstar Carrie Underwood took to Instagram Saturday to wish a happy 11th anniversary to her longtime love, Mike Fisher.

“Happy anniversary, babe!” the country star wrote on her July 10 Insta post. “11 years sure have flown by…here’s to many, many more! Love you!”

She may be a country superstar, but the post was anything but glitz and glamour. The photo featured a “down-to-earth” shot of Underwood and Fisher, both of whom are beaming at the camera. It’s a personal side to the couple and a glimpse into their lives for their fans. It is this type of personal touch that the super-star added to the heartfelt photo that makes it clear how Underwood continues to be a fan favorite.

Distance Couldn’t Stop Carrie and Mike’s Instant Connection

Carrie Underwood first met her husband, Mike Fisher when a friend offered to set her up, noted a recent Country Living article. The couple seemed perfect for each other, but there was one catch.

Fisher, a Canadian Hockey Star, still lived in Canada while Carrie lived in Tennesee. However, Carrie Underwood agreed to a meeting and the chemistry between the two was off the charts. The couple’s first official date was at the beginning of 2008. New Year’s Day, to be exact.

The couple tied the knot on July 10, 2010. In 2015 The couple welcomed their first child, Isaiah. Then in 2019, the couple welcomed their second son, Jacob Bryan.

Carrie Underwood first found fame as a contestant on the fourth season of the tremendously popular music competition, ‘American Idol.” Carrie Underwood made history when her debut single “Inside Your Heaven” hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Underwood was the only country artist in the 2000s to debut at number one on the chart.

Carrie Underwood’s Massive Cross-Over Success

Finding fame through the hit FOX musical competition show gave the country music singer unprecedented cross-over star power. Her debut album 2005’s “Some Hearts” included the hit singles “Jesus Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats.” Both became hit country-music singles along with finding a large fanbase among the pop music audiences.

In that time, Carrie Underwood won multiple Grammy Awards. The singer’s debut album has won the distinction of becoming the best-selling solo female debut album in country music history.

In 2008, Carrie Underwood was invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry by country music legend Randy Travis. The honor became extra special as one of the genre’s biggest names, Garth Brooks, officially inducted the young singer in the Grand Ole’ Opry in May 2008.

In March 2020, the artist released her debut publication, a book entitled “Find Your Path.” The book found major success and the publication received rave reviews.
