Chase Rice shares a post on Twitter of himself, Tyler Hubbard, and Brian Kelley, opening up about when the artists used to struggle to pay rent.
Last night, the country music star opened up about a time that he wasn’t so well off. Ten years ago, when Rice was roommates with fellow country artists Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line, the three were just starting their music careers. Like any struggling artist, the three were trying to make ends meet. Now, all three are sitting pretty as they sell out shows all over the country.
Chase Rice also shared four photos of the singers sitting around a fire and drinking beer.
“We used to struggle to pay rent livin in the same house 10 years ago. Here we are still makin music together. @PlayBkPlay and @THubbmusic love y’all boys. Music video for Drinkin’ Beer Talkin’ God Amen comin soon.”
Chase Rice Opens Up About Single
“‘Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen’ actually came about on a tour bus,” admits Rice. “I wrote it with Cale Dodds, Hunter Phelps, and Corey Crowder. Corey is FGL’s producer. We wrote the song and really believed in it. I wanted to produce a song with FGL for a long time. We worked together way back in the day, and we used to live together when I first moved to Nashville and before they were Florida Georgia Line.”
Chase Rice says that this song is a good reflection of events that transpired in 2020 and looking forward to this new year.
“It’s not all just drinking beer or talking God,” Rice says. “It could be any conversation. We’ve gotten back to real conversations lately, sitting around a fire, sitting around dinner tables, sitting around with friends, making old friends, new friends, joining back up in your life. It’s been a crazy year for us all, but it’s the perfect song to catapult us into 2021.”
The duet comes nearly a decade after the hit song “Cruise” by Florida Georgia Line hit the radios, with the help of Chase Rice.
