Since its debut, the special Dolly Parton-inspired ice cream by Jeni’s has amassed numerous fans. Among those is country music star, Chris Stapleton.
The singer-songwriter shared his thoughts about the special Jeni’s ice cream flavor on his Instagram on Friday (April 16). The flavor is Strawberry Pretzel Pie and it will be available for only a limited time.
“My whole life I have always wanted to eat Dolly Parton’s ice cream. And, now I can. You know, I always thought it would be good. But, now I know, it’s delicious,” Stapleton said. The video shows him tasting the ice cream and, unsurprisingly, finding it very tasty.
Stapleton also congratulated Parton on the creation. Stapleton wrote in the caption, “Congrats Dolly on creating such a delicious treat that also supports a wonderful cause. You know I love you!”

Fans Share Chris Stapleton’s Positive Love For Dolly Parton’s Ice Cream
“This is giving me life,” musician Yola shared.
“This needs to be the official commercial for Dolly’s ice cream,” one fan advised. Another commented, “Omg I love this so much.”
The video also made fans crave a pint of ice cream for their own. “That’s just made me want ice cream now,” one shared.
Popularity of Dolly Parton-Inspired Ice Cream Crashes Company’s Website
Jeni’s, the company behind the Dolly Parton-inspired ice cream, had to know that the flavor would be popular. But, they might not have been prepared for just how popular it has been. According to reports, fans looking to purchase the limited-edition flavor created such heavy traffic on the company’s website that it crashed.
The ice cream became available to order on April 8. Following its debut, Jeni’s website experienced 50 times its normal traffic. That’s right – 50 times the traffic. It just goes to show what Dolly Parton can do. As a result, the website crashed.
After this, the company announced via its Twitter page that it was making 5,000 pints available to order online beginning at noon on Thursday (April 15). A few hours later, another round of pints was made available. These, however, won’t be shipped to buyers until August.
That certainly seems a long time to wait for ice cream. But, for a Dolly Parton ice cream, it’s certainly not. There’s no doubt that Chris Stapleton would agree.
Most importantly, Jeni’s Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream flavor is going to be doing some good in the world. In fact, the company has said it plans to donate some of the proceeds from the flavor to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
