We really might live in a golden age of country music artists. Chris Stapleton brings a great blend of the old and new to his shows. Fans in Austin, Texas were treated to one of these wonderful collaborations last night.

As part of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour, Chris Stapleton joined Willie Nelson & Family on stage. That kind of show is like a bucket list item. Not to mention that Ryan Bingham, Yola, and others also played. Stapleton looks to be enjoying his time back on the road. For those worrying about Willie playing shows with the Delta variant going around, fans had to provide a negative COVID-19 test or proof of full vaccination.

In what Chris Stapleton called “the greatest treat in the whole wide world,” Willie Nelson and his family joined Stapleton and his wife Morgane. It looked like a great time on stage. Of course, Nelson was joined on stage by his son, Lukas. While the two aren’t teaming up for a Willie Nelson & Family show, Lukas has his own band. It seems like a show that diehard music fans would kill to attend.

There isn’t anything more iconic than Stapleton standing, shredding on a guitar without much effort. Except for Willie in front of an American flag jamming with his family and friends, of course. While this is the only show that Stapleton and Willie are playing together this year. However, Willie Nelson will be playing a number of great shows with other great acts this year. Fans can catch those shows that will feature Sturgill Simpson and Margot Price in a number of venues across the country.

Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show Continues

When Chris Stapleton isn’t joining Willie Nelson & Family on the Outlaw Music Festival Tour, he is still doing his own thing. Since 2017, Stapleton’s All-American Road Show has been playing shows everywhere. The tour started over four years ago and will continue through July 23, 2022. That last show is scheduled to be played at Chicago’s Wrigley Field.

Stapleton and his wife Morgane are one of the coolest musical couples in the world. They love playing, writing, and being together. They recently shared a photo from one of their other shows prior to the Austin, Texas show. As one of the most real artists out there, Stapleton is well-respected by fans and other artists alike. Never afraid to bring on new and upcoming acts on his shows, there is almost always a talent-packed lineup.

Next up for Chris Stapleton, a show in Tampa, Florida on the 26th, and then up to Georgia for a couple of shows. One in Alpharetta and another in Atlanta on the 27th and 28th, respectively. Check out his website for more tour dates and a list of special guest performances.
