If you’ve seen Chris Stapleton sans the beard, you’d probably be shocked to learn that the person was in fact, Chris Stapleton.
The country-rock singer is turning 42 today. The singer’s wife, Morgane, had some fun taking over his Instagram account in order to celebrate. She posted a series of different pictures of Stapleton over the years. All of which show him missing his iconic chest-length beard.
She wrote, “Hey, it’s Chris’ wife Morgane! (@morganwithane) Thought I’d take over & share some of my favorite snapshots of my most favorite person to celebrate his special day! I hope y’all will enjoy this as much as I do… Happy Birthday Babe!”
As one Instagram commenter perfectly summed up the image, “It’s mister steal your girl.”
Chris Stapleton has never been spotted without his beard since he’s been a key figure in the music world. His beard is so iconic he even sells a neck gaiter meant to look like his beard on his online shop. Fans can then somewhat feel what it would be like to rock a beard like Stapleton’s.
Chris Stapleton Tour and ACM Awards
At one point, there was a possibility that Chris Stapleton would be on tour during his birth month.
It was recently announced that Stapleton will be postponing his All-American Road Show tour again due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Taste of Country, he has pushed back 18 tour dates and has already canceled one. Some of the locations include Syracuse, New York, Boise, Idaho, and Salt Lake City, Utah. His tour was originally scheduled for 2020, but in May, he pushed it all back to April 2021. Now he is hoping that a July 8 start date will work out.
Now he is going into the Academy of Country Music Awards as one of the leading artists in terms of nominations. He has nominations in six different categories, as does Maren Morris. He has a nomination for album of the year, male artist of the year, and entertainer of the year. Stapleton is also up for several nominations for his title track song, including song of the year.
The ACM Awards are on Sunday, April 18. There will be more than two dozen artists performing for the awards show. Stapleton will be performing his song, “Maggie’s Song.” Other performers include Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Kenny Chesney, Jimmie Allen, Dierks Bentley, Maren Morris, and Ashley McBride, amongst many others.
