Chris Young Announces 2021 ‘Famous Friends’ Headlining Tour

Chris Young made a name for himself in 2006 when he won season 4 of Nashville Star. Since then, Young has been dropping memorable hits one right after another. In fact, he currently has twelve chart-toppers, multiple Platinum records, and almost five billion streams. Many country music fans know his hit songs by heart. Tunes like “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)” and “The Man I Want to Be” are hard to forget.

Most recently, Chris Young dropped a single with Kane Brown called “Famous Friends.” which topped the charts. That song serves as the lead single and title track from his upcoming album. Famous Friends hits shelves and streaming services Friday, August 6th.

Earlier today, Chris Young took so social media to announce that he is hitting the road to support the new record. The posts contain a clip of the record’s title track as well as all 13 stops on the Famous Friends Tour. Check it out below.

Chris Young’s Famous Friends Tour 2021 kicks off on October 21 at the First Security Amphitheater in Litter Rock, Arkansas. From there, he will play 12 more dates all around the country. The tour winds down on December 5 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Each of the stadiums and amphitheaters on the tour will adhere to local COVID-19 guidelines. So, to make things easier, know what your local venue expects before heading out to the show.

Chris Young isn’t taking any of his mega-famous friends on tour with him. Instead, he is taking two up-and-coming artists along for the ride.

Mitchell Tenpenny, who will serve as direct support, has one studio album and two EPs out right now. You might recognize his name from the singles “Drunk Me,” and “If the Boot Fits.” Most recently, his single “Truth About You,” has been burning up social media.

Callista Clark is only seventeen years old. However, she already has an EP out through Big Machine Records. Her lone single “It’s ‘Cause I Am” hit the airwaves in February of this year. It peaked at #27 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.
