It’s hard to believe that we’re closing in on the SEC Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. That’s right, Outsiders, in just a couple of weeks the Georgia Bulldogs, and, in all likelihood, the Alabama Crimson Tide will battle it out for a spot in the College Football Playoff. No pressure for the Dawgs and Tide. It’s going to be quite the event for fans in the area, so, because of the nature of the event, it made sense to have a concert, right? Well, we’ve got good news as country music star Chris Young will headline an SEC Championship concert on December 3 for the event.

Young said, “Anyone who knows me, knows I pretty much live and breathe football,” says Young.

He continued, “I am beyond pumped to team up with T-Mobile and the SEC to headline the concert before the SEC Championship game! Let’s GO!!”

What better way to get geared up for some top-notch SEC football than Young, Mitchell Tenpenny and Kameron Marlow in a pregame concert? Nothing rings a bell.

The event kicks off at 5:30 P.M. EST. Note for those who plan to attend, “T-Mobile, Sprint and Metro by T-Mobile customers and their guests can snag exclusive stage-front access, complimentary charging and more in the T-Mobile Magenta Zone. Customers can also score limited edition Chris Young swag and a complimentary beverage … just for being a customer. Capacity in the T-Mobile Magenta Zone is limited, so customers are encouraged to arrive early. All they have to do is show their phone for entry.”

Chris Young at CMA’s

It’s been a busy last few weeks for the country music star. Before the CMA show, Young performed for a group of veterans for a Generosity Hour benefit. Young said of the opportunity, “That’s why Crown Royal decided to title it ‘Generosity Hour,’ and this is going to be a really special event. To be able to partner with the NFL Salute to Service and their Bob Woodruff Foundation is a great thing. I’m very happy that I got picked to be the artist that gets to do this, so it’s going to be an amazing night.”

Young, if you did not already know, comes from a military family. So, the chance to do a concert like this was extremely special to him. It was an opportunity for Young to say “Thank You” to those that fight to keep us safe here in the United States of America. Young also just released ‘Famous Friends’ not too long ago.

He said that he is still getting used to the idea of folks singing along to his song in person. Due to the pandemic, this was not previously an option. However, it now is with venues opening back up across the country.
