It’s been three years since Chris Young has released a full-length album. But he promises fans his new music will be worth the wait.

In an interview Christ Young did with Smooth Radio, the 35-year old opens up about the lapse between records. He even says to expect more than one album in the future. The country music singer credits this to having downtime due to the pandemic.

“So, there’s definitely going to be a whole lot of new music coming from me very soon and loads of guest tracks and stuff that I’ve teased on my social media over the past year, and stuff that I’ll continue to tease going forward,” Young says.

He continues to drop tidbits by saying this so-called new music’s going to feature fellow artists.

Young chimes in with, “It’s a bit of a double-edged sword. I know that it’s a little bit annoying when I’m like, ‘Hey, here’s something that you can’t have yet, but check it out!’ – but there’s going to be a lot for people to put their ears on!”

Young spent a lot of his time during quarantine working on his podcast The Quad with Chris Young. As a matter of fact, he’s joined by his three close friends. They discuss four different topics each week.

Chris Young Gears up for Tour

Despite the pandemic and some artists’ failed attempts at playing in front of live crowds, Young’s going to attempt a socially distanced tour. First stop, Georgia at the baseball Coolray Field.

Furthermore, Young shares a photo of his soundcheck. As a matter of fact, if you look closely, you can see numbered “pods” on the field that are set in place to ensure fans’ safety.

The Tennessee native’s joined by “The Voice” winner, Cassadee Pope. He shares a photo from his first night back on the road, featuring his dog, Pope and director an videographer, Jeff Johnson.

No further dates were found on Young’s website. However, there are several dates set in place for 2021.
