Country star Luke Bryan’s first CMA win was all the way back in 2014. Although it seems like one hundred years ago at this point, this represents a huge turning point in his career. To that end, Bryan won another CMA “Entertainer of the Year” in 2015.

“Entertainer of the Year” is no small achievement and is a lifetime goal for many singers. Bryan earned this award through his dedication to country music and having an all-around great show.

In a quick synopsis of the 2014 award show, this youtube clip sums up the show and Bryan’s moving speech.

In order to summarize the speech he gave, Bryan says: “Thank you God above, thank you so much.” And he carries on, talking about the people who look over him every day. “I have some angels in heaven, my brother and sister are up there.” And to his wife, he adds, “Caroline, I love you, baby. To everybody in my world that’s put this moment in my life together.”

Furthermore he thanks the iconic Garth Brooks, whom he admires so greatly. “These fans – these country music fans – thank you so much.” Bryan continues, “Thank you so much for pioneering things, making it possible for me to follow my dreams every night.”

At last as he heads off the stage, he says cheerfully, “We’re gonna have a good time tonight!”

Bryan “Entertainer of the Year”

A monumental award that is unquestionably country music’s highest honor, it is a lifetime achievement. Unless of course, you have the good fortune of being Garth Brooks and can win the award 7 times. After winning the award, Bryan has come out with a number of hit songs. And in particular, he even won another “Entertainer of the Year” award.

Per Taste of Country, four of his top ten songs come after his award win. Those include: “Most People Are Good,” “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day,” “Fast,” and “Strip It Down.”

Bryan undoubtedly is looking to win another award in the near future.

There is speculation aplenty about this year’s “Entertainer of the Year,” but it is highly suspected that Luke Combs will take home this year’s award. But until it is announced, it really is anyone’s guess. Again, here’s to Luke Bryan and his 2014 CMA “Entertainer of the Year” award!
