Country musicians Jake Owen and Mike Eli of the Eli Young Band are getting into the autumn spirit with their families.
Both stars have been sharing pictures of family at a time when people are gearing up for the holiday season.
Owen sings about families
“Fall,” Owen tweeted Sunday, adding little pictures of leaves.
It’s not clear when Owen finds time to enjoy the outdoors these days. Recently, he has been busy singing about families. He just took fans behind the scenes of his hit music video, which earned a CMA Music Video of the Year nomination.
Owen’s chart-topping country single “Homemade” is an ode to families and small-town values. And stories from his family are important to Owen. His music video tells the tale of his grandparents’ courtship. As the Tennessean reported, it’s a long story with a happy ending.
Owen has a daughter, Pearl, with Lacey Buchanan. The couple divorced in 2015.
Eli’s holiday time
Meanwhile, Eli has been busily prepping for Halloween with his brood.
“Time for a little pumpkin’ carvin’ in the Eli household!” Eli tweeted on Sunday.
Eli and his wife Kacey have two children, a boy, Kash, and a girl, Kline.
The Eli Young Band has come a long way from its humble beginnings at the University of North Texas. The group, which was originally a duo composed of Eli and James Young, put out their first record in 2002. Since then, they’ve released six full-length albums and multiple singles and compilations.
Eli told Eat Play Rock in 2019 that work often gets in the way of family. When they get a month off, he said, they spend it celebrating holidays and enjoying some family time.
“A whole lotta Christmas and some traveling and family and those things that we’ve been neglecting too much over the first [part] of the year,” he said, when asked what he’d do with some time off. “So we’ll be playing some catch up will be a lot of with that.”
