Brad Paisley is one of country music’s true gems who delivers quality performances in person or on records. His song “Alcohol” is a wonderful example.

Paisley was nominated for three Academy of Country Music Awards at its 2005 show for “Alcohol,” which he sang for those in attendance and fans watching on television. He was nominated for Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.

Additionally, the song received two Grammy Award nominations in 2006 for Best Country Song and Best Male Country Vocal Performance. Paisley was nominated by the Academy of Country Music Awards for Single Record of the Year.

Brad Paisley Releases Song Off ‘Time Well Wasted’ Album

“Alcohol,” written by Brad Paisley himself, was the first song released from his 2005 album, “Time Well Wasted.” It reached No. 4 on Billboard’s Country Hits Chart and No. 28 on the United States’ Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

In some of the lyrics, Paisley romanticizes a little bit about how alcohol affects different people in different situations.

Brad Paisley Receives Honor From Fender

Meanwhile, as a musician Brad Paisley recently received a high honor from Fender. Firstly, it unveiled the Brad Paisley Esquire signature guitar. Secondly, it means that he joins the likes of rock legend Jimi Hendrix and others who have had Fender guitar brands named after them.

Thirdly, Paisley points out that it’s important to hear an echo from the past in everything he does. In addition, the design’s sparkle comes from Buck Owens and Don Rich, who were some of the first country performers to take the stage with glitzy guitars.

Paisley said, “It’s half diamonds and half coal on this thing,” referring to the black sparkle of his custom guitar. The “Alcohol” artist points out that the body is made of spruce and paulownia wood.

Paisley Makes First Grand Ole Opry Appearance In 1999

Before stardom hit Paisley’s front door, he was writing hit songs for other country music acts. Things began to change, though, in 1999.

That was the year in which Paisley released his first album. He also played a short set at the famed Grand Ole Opry.

Following his set, Paisley gives a short interview talking about his first time at the Opry. He said, “Oh it was a blast, such a blast. I can’t even describe it.”

Paisley then gives a nod to his home state of West Virginia, saying, “Hi to everybody in Glendale [West Virginia]. Thanks for watching…and here’s Billy Walker.”

In an interview with Loews Hotels, Brad Paisley says that the Opry is perhaps his favorite place to go to hear live music.

“In Nashville, there is no excuse for not getting your fix of hearing good stuff,” he said. Additionally, he recommends the Opry. In November and December, the Opry travels to the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Paisley recommends seeing any artist playing there. “It is truly unforgettable,” he said.
