Country music superstar Dierks Bentley announced earlier today (Saturday) that his upcoming live concert in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, would have to be rescheduled.
Dierks Bentley was supposed to hit the Lake Tahoe stage on Sunday afternoon, but Mother Nature has other plans. Wildfires wreaking havoc in the area will mean a performance postponement for the popular country artist. Bentley made the announcement on Saturday via his social media pages. He profusely apologized to his robust fan base and assured them the concert will go on at a later date and time. He said that if fans are unable to attend the rescheduled concert, they will be eligible to receive a refund. No musical act ever wants to cancel a live performance but with wildfire still blazing in the west, Dierks Bentley had little choice. He said he is just as disappointed as fans that the concert will now face a delay. He addressed Stateline, Nevada in his Instagram post.
“Please go to www.apeconcerts.com for the latest updates,” the post from Dierks Bentley says.
“Lake Tahoe — We have been advised by local officials that fires are making conditions too unsafe for us to perform on Sunday night,” the statement says. “We could not be more bummed. We have been trying to get there to perform for y’all since 2020! We’re working on a date to reschedule now to be announced shortly. be safe and see you soon!”
Dierks Bentley Encourages Fans To Stay Safe
Dierks Bentley also assures his fans that they won’t be left out in the cold if they cannot attend the rescheduled concert.
“If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date once it is announced you will be able to request a refund from Ticket Master for a 30 day period,” the memo concludes.
Wildfires along the western portion of the United States have made life difficult for people calling the west coast home. Dierks Bentley fans were certainly upset with the cancelation news but also understand it is for their own safety. Many expressed their frustrations in the comments section of the Dierks Bentley social media post.
“It seems like everything is working against humanity to go back to normal between climate change and covid,” a fan writes. “It is a lot to deal with. Stay safe!”
Other fans gave their support to the country music star for making a wise decision to stay safe.
“The smoke has been so bad in the area the last month with hazardous conditions today,” another Dierks Bentley fan writes. “Happy you made the decision to reschedule. Stay safe.”
“So bummed but the smoke is really bad up here,” another fan writes. “See you soon hopefully!”
Dierks Bentley encouraged fans in the area to remain safe through these difficult times. He also notes he hopes to return in the very near future.
