The Fragrance Foundation is gearing up for its annual Fragrance Foundation Awards Ceremony, and Dolly Parton will be one of the night’s presenters.
Of course, the country music legend is no stranger to the perfume industry. In fact, Parton just launched her new perfume, Dolly Scent from Above, earlier this spring. So, it makes perfect sense that she will be one of the presenters at the 2021 Fragrance Foundation Awards ceremony.
“Having my own perfume has always been a dream of mine,” Parton said upon releasing her new perfume. “For as long as I can remember, people have commented on my scent. The truth is, I have been blending my own scent for years. It’s a combination of bath oils, powders, and perfumes that have become my “signature” and is known everywhere I go.”
We all know the kind of success that Dolly Parton has seen in both the music and film industries. The “Jolene” singer has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. In addition, she has won 11 Grammy Awards having been nominated an astounding 50 times. Of course, she also has countless other awards and she chalks them all up to being “lucky enough” to see her dreams come true. That’s exactly how she feels about the release of her perfume.
“I’ve been lucky enough in my lifetime to see a lot of my dreams come true,” Parton explained. “Getting to share my perfume with the world is another one that I can now add to the list. I have often said that if you want to see your dreams come true, you have to give them wings, and I truly believe this one is ‘scent’ from above.”
Dolly Parton Among Other Big Names to Present at Fragrance Foundation Awards
Dolly Parton is arguably the most popular name on the event’s program. But the Fragrance Foundation is definitely packing the heat in terms of the other celebrities presenting at the 2021 Awards.
The lineup features a number of stars from the music, entertainment, and fashion industries. Joining Dolly Parton are some very recognizable names. Some of those include Alicia Keys, Kylie Minogue, Isabella Rossellini, Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, Thom Browne, Andre Leon Talley, and Christian Siriano.
Linda Levy, president of the Fragrance Foundation, spoke about the foundation’s decision to hold a virtual ceremony over an in-person event.
“While we all look forward to future events in person, TFF Awards will be viewed by thousands virtually, allowing all of the fragrance community to share a celebratory hour of great fragrance artistry, creativity, and achievements,” Levy said in a statement.
The Fragrance Foundation Awards will take place via public webinar on Thursday, June 10, at 12 p.m. ET. It will be the second year in a row that the ceremony will be virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
