Dolly Parton never ages. It’s true, the singer + songwriter hasn’t aged a day in years. The key? Cheap beauty products.
That’s right! Parton says the key to exceptional skincare is affordable makeup and skincare products that cost less than $20.
According to Refinery29, Parton’s beauty regime consists of unconventional products from the 19th and 20th century such as Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser, Vaseline, Max Factor, Olay, and Maybelline. All of these products are available at drug stores and other miscellaneous retail-friendly stores. She told the publication, “I’ve got shelves and drawers full of every new makeup going on, even the expensive ones. But I still tend to go back to old faithfuls.”
The songwriter even wore OPI Strawberry Margarita nail polish to her interview, which is available $12. She fancies bold colors but simple hygiene when unwinding at home after a long day’s work.
During quarantine, Parton still kept up her simple beauty regime and glam routine – even if it were just her at her house. She says, “I always say that the only way I’d be caught without makeup is if a radio fell into the bathtub and electrocuted me. So yes, I’m always in glam!”
The country music icon has released her very own fragrance. Dolly – Secret From Above is released in partnership with Scent Beauty and smells quite heavenly. Her signature scent is a mixture of butterflies, hearts, and hope, and holds true of the makings from a rags to riches storyline.
It’s safe to say that in case of any emergencies, Dolly Parton will be ready to go – glammed and everything.
