What could possibly be better than more Christmas music from Dolly Parton? The answer: an animated duet with Michael Bublé.
Today, Dolly Parton debuts her adorable cartoon-ified music video for ‘Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas’ with Michael Bublé today, and it’s the distraction we all need. The two legends have redefined Christmas music years over with several holiday albums each. The genre has become a staple for both – and now they’re joining forces to spread the ultimate Christmas cheer.
“Enjoy the official U.S. premiere of the music video for “Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas,” my song with the very talented @MichaelBuble,” Parton posts to Twitter. Within, she includes a snippet of the retro-animation. The cartoon features perfectly-cartooned versions of each star and is a must-watch for fans of either.

The new song comes as a single from her upcoming Christmas Album, A Holly Dolly Christmas. The album features duets with Michael Bublé, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon and her brother Randy Parton.
Dolly wrote ‘Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas’ specifically to duet with Bublé. The album is full of tailored duets featuring fellow stars above.
As for ‘Cuddle Up’ specifically, Parton has been open about her songwriting process.
“People will find this surprising; they might not even like it. It might not be as sexy, but it’s the truth,” Parton begins. “I wrote this while I was cuddling up and cozying down with one of my little nieces and nephews, just thinking about mothers and their babies.”
After she started writing the song, however, Parton says she realized she needed to make it more romantic.
“And I cuddled up with Michael Buble on this one!” she concludes. “And he did a great job on it. So, it made it sexy. I can only fantasize, cuddlin’ up and cozying down with him.”
