The Country Jam Festival will celebrate its thirtieth year in 2022. They’re already putting together a monster lineup befitting such a major milestone. They’ve only officially added a handful of names to the bill so far. However, the artists they’ve announced almost make dropping the cash for a three-day pass worth it and then some.
Earlier today, Country Jam released the names of the artists that will headline the three-day festival in Colorado. Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, and Eric Church are heading up the bill. That’s right, those who attend the three-day country music festival will get to see three of the biggest names in the genre. They call the annual festival the “biggest country music party in Colorado,” but you’d be hard-pressed to find that many big names in one place at anywhere else. Next year’s festival might be the biggest country music party in the nation.
Country Jam’s headliners are top-notch, to be sure. However, the rest of the lineup is nothing to sneeze at. For those who like newer country music, there’s Blanco Brown, Chris Lane, Chris Janson, and Lainey Wilson. If you’d rather listen to some older tunes, the festival has you covered as well. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lonestar, and Joe Dee Messina are also on the festival’s lineup. Additionally, Riley Green will be there bridging the gap between contemporary and classic country.
That’s all we know for sure right now. However, Country Jam will announce more artists in the coming months. There’s still plenty of time. The event kicks off on June 23rd of next year.
More About Country Jam Festival
The first Country Jam Festival took place in Colorado in 1992. That year included bands like Alabama and Sawyer Brown. Back then, they held the festival in the middle of an open field. Now, it takes place at Country Jam Ranch just outside Grand Junction, Colorado. To say it has come a long way in the last thirty years would be an understatement.
This year, Academy of Country Music Award-Winning promoter Gil Cunningham and his team at Neste Live are at the helm of the festival. Cunningham spoke briefly about the upcoming event. He said, “We are so excited to have secured such an incredible lineup of premier artists for Country Jam to celebrate 30 years of Country music in Grand Junction. It’s a true testament to the power of the genre, and its artists and fans.” stated Cunningham in a prepared statement.
Cunningham went on to say, “We are privileged to have the opportunity to once again work alongside the entire Grand Junction Community, as well as my incredible team at Neste Live, to bring the ultimate open-air camping and concert festival experience to Colorado.”
