Eric Church has been getting attention lately for his gutsy performance at the 2020 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards. But when he’s not onstage, Church admits to (and sings about) the occasional “Cold One” and “Round Here Buzz”.

So, after a night of having some “Mixed Drinks About Feelings,” these hangover tips from the country singer should do the trick.

Asked by a radio interviewer on Coyote 93.7 FM how he deals with a hangover, Church offered two suggestions.

Suggestion one: “Start pounding 5-Hour Energy. It’s either gonna work or keep you up so you can prolong your misery.”

Of course, you could always also try his second suggestion: “Two Advil and a beer in the morning. Hair of the dog. Works every time.”

Eric Church & Jack Daniels: A Match Made in Heaven

So yes, he gives the morning solution, but, of course, the fun part is the sipping and songs the night before. Eric Church has plenty of tunes on the matter. In fact, he proves he’s no amateur fan of Jack Daniel’s in his song by the whiskey’s name.

In it, Chuch serenades the whiskey, singing, “That label’s like (black) powder for my soul” and offering the refrain, “Jack Daniels kicked my a– again last night.”

The Tennessee whiskey maker was sure to return the gesture. This summer, the company rolled out an Eric Church Jack Daniel’s bottle.

The whiskey, Eric Church Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select 2020 Special Edition, was selected by Master Distiller Jeff Arnett.

“Every bottle is a celebration of Jack Daniel’s and Eric Church’s longstanding friendship,” the company says on its website.

Market Watch reports that the Eric Church whiskey has heavy notes of wood, vanilla, and caramel. It is part of a growing line of flavored whiskeys released by the company.

And at 94 proof, the signature liquor is likely to give Eric Church cause to try out his infamous hangover cure yet again.
