Country superstars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are taking former First Lady Michelle Obama’s #VotingSquad challenge seriously.
The challenge is meant to encourage everyone to get out and vote this year. Next month is the United States Presidential Election, and it’s going to be an interesting year. There have been a wide variety of votes already cast: over 6 million Americans across 27 states, to be exact.
It all started with Michelle Obama’s call to action. Obama asked people to vote with a purpose. As a result, responses came rolling in.
“We can’t let anyone sit this election out! Get your #VotingSquad together, make a plan to vote, and challenge three friends to do the same,” Obama originally tweeted on October 13. “I challenge my @WhenWeAllVote co-chairs to get their #VotingSquad,” she tweeted.
A host of celebrities responded to the call, included Tom Hanks, Selena Gomez, and Shonda Rhimes. Faith Hill replied with gusto and wasted no time getting her #VotingSquad together. She shared an image with her own “squad”.
“Challenge accepted @MichelleObama! My #VotingSquad and I voted together today,” she wrote. The singer then tagged Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini, Ingrid Andress, Karen Fairchild, and Dolly Parton to continue the chain.
Faith Hill and Tim McGraw spent a lot of time together during quarantine. Earlier in 2020, the couple took a summer road trip to visit their children. The family spent some time together across their children’s various California-based homes.
It’s unclear what will happen this election year. But what’s important is that we know the Hill-McGraw household is living their best lives. As far as we can see, they certainly are. And if they’ve inspired you to put on your mask and go vote, they’ve accomplished something truly significant here.
