It’s a good day to be in Nebraska if you’re a Garth Brooks fan. The country music legend teased a “Game Day” photo of his stage set up via Twitter. From the looks of it, it’s going to be a jam-packed event, full of surprises no doubt, in true Garth Brooks fashion.
“Looks like GAME DAY in Lincoln! #GoBigRed!!!! I CAN’T WAIT!!! love, g,” the superstar captioned the photo.
Brooks’ setlist of hits is sure to get the party started. Tickets for his show are hard to come by as one of the best entertainers – not just in country music- but in any arena of entertainment. The singer often plays crowds of 60,000 plus as he makes his way across the country.
After completing his “Dive Bar” tour in early 2020, Brooks had to put a halt to his plans for an extension of the tour. Finally, in July this year, the famed singer hit the road in July with his crew, ready to dive back in to the grind.
Garth Brooks Considers COVID During Tour
Further, after rising COVID cases continue to plague the US, Brooks said he will cautiously move forward with his scheduled tour dates. Along with the rising cases, the Delta variant of COVID may throw another wrench in the performers’ future plans.
“It breaks my heart to see city after city go on sale and then have to ask those sweet people and the venues to reschedule,” Garth Brooks said. “We have a three week window coming up where we, as a group, will assess the remainder of the stadium tour this year. It’s humbling to see people put this much faith in you as an artist, and it kills me to think I am letting them down.”
While the star remains optimistic about his next few shows, he’s concerned about several down the road and will continue to stay cautious. Brooks said he will be advised and do what is safest for his crew and his fans.
Following his show this evening, the performer will take a three-week break to assess the remainder of the show dates. “The Friends in Low Places” singer will keep his fans updated as he continues to receive the best information possible about what is safe.
