Today marks 19 years since the release of ‘The Road Less Traveled’, and George Strait wants to know fans’ favorite songs from the landmark album.
“Today’s album anniversary will be sure to leave you with a smile,” the country legend starts on Twitter. “The Road Less Traveled” was released on this day in 2001!”
For diehard country fans, it’s hard to believe this incredible album hit almost two decades ago. Strait is keeping this phenomenal set of songs alive, as well. Engaging his fans on Twitter, the icon asks “What is your favorite hit from this classic?”

The Road Less Traveled is, without a doubt, an album worth celebrating 19 years on. Strait’s prolific career has resulted in dozens of albums. And TRLT is, shockingly, his twenty-first studio album. Strait and MCA Nashville cut the record in 2001. It went Certified Platinum that same year, solidifying Strait’s staying power over twenty albums into his career.
